Free Exhibit Pass to ALA 2010

attendingALARecorded Books will be attending ALA 2010. And since it’s in our backyard in Washington, D.C. this year, I will be attending for one day as well! I plan on attending Monday, June 28, so say hello if you see me! Recorded Books is Booth #1513.

If you still need a free exhibit hall pass to the conference, we’ve got you covered. To register for a complimentary exhibit hall pass from Recorded Books, CLICK HERE.

Be sure to stop by Booth #1513 to talk with Melanie, our children’s acquisitions editor. She’ll be making her rounds at the conference and we will send Twitter updates when she’d at the booth (you can check for updates on even if you are not a Twitter user!). She’ll give you the scoop on hot upcoming titles and what you should be on the lookout for this summer and next school year. Also at the booth will be demonstrations of several new products for K-12: ePrep online test prep, Byki online language learning products, and One-Click downloadable audiobooks. If you come for a demonstration, you will have the chance to win a free copy of The Color Purple on MP3 CD. As I roam the exhibits and presentations, I plan on tweeting from the event (as @recordedbooks) and will post a wrap-up blog when I get back. It will be my first time visiting ALA, so I’m excited to see all there is to offer!

we're exhibiting ALA 2010If you’re coming in from out of town, I hope you’ll check out some of the local DC scenery. A good place to start is the website for the DC convention center. It’s a fun and beautiful city and I hope you all have time to take in the sights!

Let me know if you’ll be attending and I’ll be sure to look for you at the event!

  1. Have the best time. I know it’s nerdy to the extreme, but attending ALA is my dream vacation.
